CAS Presentation

CAS is a requirement of the IB Diploma program that is very similar to the community service requirement that students are expected to complete during 9th and 10th grade. These students already have some sort of background on community service, however there are some additional factors that comprise the CAS requirement. Our CAS presentation informed the rising 11th graders about the additional creativity and activity components, as well as the many ways that they can receive CAS hours for each individual component. We also dived deeper into the CAS project that IB Diploma candidates will complete during their junior and senior year. We discussed the focus that the CAS project must have with Human Rights, the typical length of the project, and some examples of CAS projects that the students might have been familiar with. All in all, we believe that this presentation covered everything students needed to know about the CAS requirement.
